The Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group (CDPG), a local non-profit organisation, has proudly delivered Light Up Winter since its inception, made possible through the ongoing support of valued funders and sponsors.

The event reflects the Group’s wider vision of promoting Cromwell and surrounding districts as a vibrant place to live, work, experience, and enjoy, for both the local community and visitors.

The team at CDPG is delighted to confirm the return of Aotea Electric Cromwell and Daikin NZ as Principal Partners for a milestone year, the 10th Light Up Winter Cromwell.

Taking place on Saturday 1st August, the event remains one of Cromwell’s most

loved winter celebrations, bringing together locals and visitors for an evening of entertainment, food, family activities, and the spectacular mass lantern release.

Alongside funders and other sponsors soon to be announced, community-minded support such as Aotea Electric Cromwell and Daikin NZ, continue to help ensure the event remains accessible to all, with voluntary gold coin entry.

Their long-standing involvement, both on the ground and through ongoing financial support, reflects a genuine commitment to the community that supports local business.

“Backing this event is really about backing our community,” says the team at Aotea Electric Cromwell. “Light Up Winter has become a special part of Cromwell’s winter calendar, a night where everything comes together. Being involved, on the ground and behind the scenes, is something we’re proud to continue into the 10th year.”

Chairperson Caitlin Dykes says the continued support is vital to the event’s success:

“We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing backing of Aotea Electric Cromwell and Daikin NZ for our 10th event. Their commitment, alongside our other amazing funders, sponsors and valued suppliers, helps us deliver something truly special for the community each year.”
