WHAT ARE LANTERNS MADE OF?

Committed to safety and environmental responsibility, Cromwell Promotions ensures that the lanterns provided are flame retardant, completely biodegradable, and free from any wire that could harm wildlife. Please note that we will not allow any other lanterns to be released.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Car parking will be available at all public carparks; excluding the Anderson Park Playground car park which is reserved for the event. Given the extensive greenway connectivity to Anderson Park, we encourage families and friends to leave their wheels behind, and go on foot.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

We strongly recommend that you leave your furry friends at home as they may be distressing to some of our younger visitors; or themselves become distressed by the activity.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH LANTERNS THAT FALL TO THE GROUND?

Any lanterns that fall to the ground in a public space will be collected on Saturday night and Sunday morning by a crew of volunteers. Lanterns that become lodged in trees in a public space will be retrieved on Monday morning. If a lantern lands on your property, either pop it outside your gate on Sunday morning before 8am and email us at crm@cromwell.org.nz to collect it. If you find a lantern has landed in a tree on your property, or on your roof, email us at crm@cromwell.org.nz and we will attempt to retrieve it on the Monday morning. For lanterns landing in a place that is not accessible, please be assured that the lanterns are fully biodegrable and will break down quickly.

HOW DO I BUY A LANTERN?

There will be NO lantern sales on the day. Lanterns may only be purchased here at www.lightupwinter.co.nz - whilst stocks last, and by agreeing to our Terms & Conditions online.
